Sine Privacy Notice for Honeywell Contractors and Site Visitors

This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) explains how Honeywell International Inc on behalf of itself, its direct and indirect subsidiaries (“Honeywell”, “we” or “us”), the controller, collects, uses and shares your personal information when you use the Sine workplace services and mobile applications (Sine Services).

If you are an employee, please read this Notice in conjunction with the Honeywell Global Privacy Policy and the Employee Privacy Notice where one exists for your jurisdiction. If you are not a Honeywell employee, please read this Notice in conjunction with the Honeywell Privacy Statement. The aim of this Notice is to give you more detailed information about our processing of your personal information when you use the Sine Services.

Who is responsible for the data processing and who can I contact?

The data contact responsible for collecting and retaining personal data in accordance with this notice is Honeywell entity that manages your site (“Honeywell”, “we” or “us”). If you would like to contact us for any reason regarding our privacy practices, please contact us at [email protected].

Why do we process the data (purpose of the processing) and on what lawful basis?

We will use your personal information to facilitate access to the Honeywell site, to track your time and attendance and perform other functions as disclosed to you at the point of collection or as required or permitted by law. Depending on applicable law, our legal basis for processing your personal information will be one of the following: (i) in Honeywell’s legitimate interests (provided that our legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights); (ii) to fulfil a contract that Honeywell has with you or your company (e.g., to make payment in connection with services provided to Honeywell); (iii) compliance with a legal obligation; (iv) the processing is necessary to protect your vital interests (for example, health and safety reasons if you attend a meeting at a Honeywell location); or (v) with your consent which you can withdraw at any time. Where relying on consent, if you do not give your consent, your access to the site may be limited or restricted.

What data will be processed?

We may ask you to provide your personal information when you visit our site such as your first name, last name, phone number, email, the company you work for, your attendance (time in and out) and facility name.

Who is the recipient of my data?

We share this information within the Honeywell group of companies for site safety protocols (knowing who is on site), resource management and administration purposes. We also share your data with third parties who provide services on our behalf, if required or authorized to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal requirements or with legal process served on us, to protect and defend our rights or property or, in urgent circumstances, to protect the personal safety of any individual.

Is my data transferred to a third country or to an international organisation?

Your information will be transferred to Australia and USA. This means that when we collect your personal information it may be processed in countries that have data protection laws that do not offer the same level of protection as your country of residence. However, Honeywell will always take appropriate steps to protect your privacy and to provide a level of protection for personal data that is comparable to that of your country of residence which includes implementing the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We will take all appropriate security measures to safeguard the personal information that we transfer.

How long will my data be stored?

We will retain your personal information as necessary in connection with the purposes described in this Notice and in accordance with Honeywell’s retention policies and applicable law. Your personal information that is collected by Honeywell will be kept for a period of 6 years as specified in Honeywell’s Record Retention Schedule.

What data protection rights do I have?

Depending on applicable law, you may have certain rights with respect to your personal information. You may have the (i) right to access, rectify, erase, object, restrict or withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal information; (ii)  the right to not have a decision made about you that is based solely on automated processing, including profiling, if that decision produces legal effects about you or significantly affects you, and (iii)  a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. You have the right withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal information at any time. Please note that a withdrawal of consent has effect only for the future. Any data processing that was carried out before the withdrawal of consent is not affected by the withdrawal.
